Design Story & Materials
Design Inspiration: Named after Asterion—“of the stars” in Greek—we looked to navigators who steered by Polaris. The shield recalls a traveler’s badge; the eight-point star is carved like a compass burst, then oxidised for night-sky depth and polished to catch light. The result is a contemporary North Star ring with purpose: a quiet marker of course and conviction.
Materials: Hand-crafted from premium 18K gold-plated 316L stainless steel, a particularly tough variant of the metal, with high tensile strength and able to withstand rusting and corrosion, thanks to the 2% molybdenum contents which provides greater resistance to acids and localised corrosion, making items crafted from it very durable and truly timeless.
