Design Story & Materials
Design inspiration: We studied brass deck compasses and weathered ship wheels—the confident geometry, the knurled rims, the rope-set bezels. Translating those cues into steel, we sculpted a raised compass-rose, oxidised the dial for map-like depth, and wrapped it with braided borders. The result: a vintage-styled 316L stainless steel compass ring that feels ready for charting new routes.
Materials: Hand-crafted from premium 316L stainless steel, a particularly tough variant of the metal, with high tensile strength and able to withstand rusting and corrosion, thanks to the 2% molybdenum contents which provides greater resistance to acids and localised corrosion, making items crafted from it very durable and truly timeless.
