Design Story & Materials
Design Inspiration: We studied the vesica piscis—two intersecting circles used in medieval masonry and manuscript borders. Translating that lens shape into metal, we built a repeating lattice, oxidised the valleys like inked parchment, and mirror-polished the ribs to catch light. The result is a contemporary 925 sterling silver ring that feels mathematical, rhythmic and unmistakably Illicium.
Materials: Hand-crafted from premium 925 sterling silver—a precious alloy of 92.5% pure silver with 7.5% copper for added strength. Naturally nickel-free and hypoallergenic, it wears beautifully and polishes back to a brilliant lustre. A rhodium finish further reduces tarnish, keeping each piece enduring and truly timeless.
Sizing

For a deeper clean, use mild soap and lukewarm water—rinse, dry thoroughly, and never use abrasive cleaners. Rhodium-finished pieces only need a gentle cloth buff.
